The 2011 Georgia Bowl Riders Championship will be the premier fall skateboard event in the south for amateur and professional skateboarders. The two-day event takes place October 22 – 23, 2011 in Columbus and Atlanta Georgia. This year the Georgia Bowlriders Championship will be a chance to qualify for the Florida Bowlriders Cup. We plan to offer significant cash prizes for the Georgia Bowl Riders Championship.
Both the Jonathan Hatcher Skatepark in Columbus and Brook Run Skatepark in Atlanta are modern skateparks created by California Skateparks. The Georgia Bowl Riders Championship will take place in the pool at both locations. Each park is conveniently located and easily accessible.
The Georgia Bowl Riders Championship series provides outstanding sponsorship opportunities that will allow select organizations the opportunity to be a part of this event. We expect 100 amateur and professional skateboarders to enter this event and anticipate event foot traffic over the three days of 3,000. Numerous opportunities for exposure exist and we are able to tailor a package based on the sponsors marketing needs.
The event is being promoted through multiple channels – our goal is to maximize the return on investment to sponsors as well as increase the visibility of grass roots skateboarding and the outstanding skateparks that Georgia has to offer.
The Georgia Bowl Riders Championship is a production of Woody’s Halfpipe Skateshop and is in its fourth year. Woody’s Halfpipe has over seven years of grassroots skateboard contest experience. In addition to our expertise, we have engaged the assistance of several skate industry veterans to help ensure a successful event.
